Srinagar, Aug 22: When Mushtaq Ahmad of Habba Kadal offered Fateha at the Martyrs Graveyard at Eidgah, tears failed to seize trickling down from his eyes as he saw over one million people shouting pro-freedom slogans and assembling in nearby ground.Mushtaq's 35 friends, who had picked up gun for freedom and were killed in encounters with troops, are buried in the graveyard which is considered to be epitome of the ongoing freedom struggle since inception of armed struggle in early '90s. "Seeing enthusiasm of the people for the freedom of Kashmir today I firmly believe that the sacrifices of Kashmiri youth will not go in vain," Mushtaq said as he dusted the epitaphs on the graves. "They did not pick up guns on their own. They were aghast on the killing and harassment of Kashmiris by Indian troops to quell the freedom movement. Though they laid their lives for freeing Kashmiris from the chains of bondage, but their sacrifice has gradually started to bear fruit," he said pointing towards the unending rows of people at Eidgah ground overlooking the graveyard. Braving the humidity, an elderly woman showered flower petals on the graves. "Are they your relatives?" She slowly lifted her head and replied, "All martyrs are my sons.""They forgot their family and valiantly fought for our respect and freedom. It is because of their sacrifices that Kashmir issue has been highlighted. Though the struggle was muzzled for some years, it has been rejuvenated today with the assembly of countless people here from across the Valley. The valley lies within the range of the Navajo Nation Reservation, and is accessible from U.S. Highway 163. The Navajo name for the valley is Tsé Bii' Ndzisgaii (Valley of the Rocks).The area is part of the Colorado Plateau. Hadrat Syed Muhammad Jilani Kichhauchhavi, Hadrat Allama Tauseef Raza Khan, Naib Sajjada-nasheen Dargah Ala Hazrat Barielly Sharif and Hadrat Allama Tanveer Hashmi and former minister; central govt. C.M. Ibrahim addressed this conference.The explosion at the Dargah of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti Sarkar Gharib Nawaz (R.A) on 11th of October 2007 is a great tragedy in the national, cultural, historical society of India. They need to come forward to prepare a roadmap for the permanent solution of these sacred places to protect from the jaws of these terrorist elements who are the real enemies of humanity working internally and externally.For achieving these great goals a conference of great and distinguished representatives is going to be held in the National capital Delhi representing millions of devotees from north to south concerning with Khawaja and with Sufis. This historic convention will be held in NEW DELHI on 3rd and 4th December 2007 at (India Islamic Cultural Centre Lodhi Road New Delhi) under the banner of Khawaja Gharib Nawaz Council.
