The song is called Greensleeves, and it is composed by King Henry VIII of England, during his reign in the Sixteenth Century.(Although people opposed to Anne Boleyn say it is not so, for they can not bare the thought of her being an inspiration for such a song.)The song is about Anne Boleyn, Henrys second wife. While he was married to Queen Katherine of Aragon, he desired Anne to be his mistress, but she refused. She wanted to be his wife and his Queen, and he made it so. However, this process took many years and Anne insisted that until their wedding, she would not give herself to to him fully. This of course frustrating Henry VIII who was used to getting anything he wanted. They were finally married, but Annes failure to provide a male heir was her demise. Henry was already courting Jane Seymour and plotted to have Anne executed on false charges of incest, witch craft, adultery and treason. Sadly, Anne was executed. But her death was not in vain, as her daughter Elizabeth I later became the greatest Queen England ever had. There have been many lyrical versions of this song, but I chose this one, as I think it is most original and poetic. The portraits of Anne in this video are real, and the actress in the photos is Natalie Portman, taken from the movie "The Other Boleyn Girl."Note: I do not own the song nor video, and no copyright infringement is intended.Enjoy!(For the record - I despise Henry VIII) [ More Detail ]

Es Posthumus : Nara ( Song)The movie is about the sisters, Anne Boleyn (Natalie Portman) and Mary Boleyn (Scarlett Johansson), who are both fighting for the affection of King Henry VIII (Eric Bana). Although initially reluctant to become Henry's mistress, Mary comes to fall for the King, while Anne is only interested in securing her own status. Their father, Sir Thomas Boleyn, and uncle, the Duke of Norfolk, engineer the sisters' coming to Henry's attention in the first place, capitalizing on his dissatisfaction with his wife, Catherine of Aragon, who has failed to bear him a living son. The ambitious men seek their own gain in having a female relative as the King's mistress. First they select Anne, who is older, more ambitious and unmarried, and arrange for her to catch Henry's eye, but when Henry is injured in a hunting accident, indirectly caused by Anne, they have Mary nurse him. The King, smitten with Mary, invites her to court as his mistress.Rebellious Anne then marries nobleman Henry Percy secretly and confides in her brother George (Jim Sturgess). George then tells Mary, but is confused as she is not happy about the marriage. Worried that Anne will ruin her reputation in marrying a nobleman without the King's consent, she tells her father and uncle. They tell Anne that the marriage has to remain secret as Henry Percy is betrothed to marry another woman. The marriage of a nobleman is decided by the state. Anne argues that what is done before God cannot be undone, and that the marriage had been consummated. This angers Anne's father and uncle and she is sent away in exile to France.Anne is sent to France in disgrace but the Boleyns' fortunes seem to be secured when Mary becomes pregnant. But when Mary nearly suffers a miscarriage and is confined to bed rest to protect the baby, Norfolk recalls Anne from France to keep the King's attention from wandering to another rival (such as Jane Seymour, who would eventually be the king's third wife). Anne embarks on a successful campaign to attract Henry, showing herself to be more sophisticated and accomplished than she seemed before. By withholding her sexual favors, she ensures Henry's continued interest, finally making him promise never to bed his wife or speak to her sister in exchange for her giving him hope of eventually possessing her. Anne exacts this promise just after Mary gives birth to the much-anticipated son, making Mary's triumph hollow. The ambitious Anne continues to refuse Henry's advances, until at last he obtains an unpopular divorce from Catherine and promises to marry Anne instead. The scandal of her brief, secret marriage to the young nobleman Henry Percy threatens the alliance, but Mary, out of loyalty to her family, returns to court and vouches for Anne. Despite the removal of this final obstacle, Anne's manipulations have pushed Henry to his breaking point. He blames Anne for England's schism with the Roman Catholic Church and rapes her. Confused and hurt by the attack, a now-pregnant Anne still goes through with her marriage to Henry and becomes Queen of England. The sisters reach a reconciliation and Mary stays by Anne's side at court. Despite the birth of a healthy daughter, Elizabeth, the royal marriage is unhappy. After Anne miscarries her second child, she becomes desperate and asks her brother, George, to try to impregnate her. Disgusted and horrified by Anne's request, Mary again leaves behind the intrigues of court. Anne and George are unable to go through with incest. Nonetheless, George's neglected wife, Jane, sees enough of their encounter to make her suspicious. Her testimony sets off the arrest, trial and, eventually, the execution of both George and Anne. Mary returns to court to plead for her sister's life, and although Henry seems to soften, he permits Anne's beheading to go on. He even warns Mary never to come to court again, because her family's disgrace could result in danger to her as well. Mary fulfills her last promise to Anne and takes care of her infant daughter. The closing captions reveal that the king needed not be concerned about his failure to produce a living male heir, because the female baby turned out to be a suitable heir in the new politics of England (after separating from the Roman Catholic Church), and indeed reigned as Queen Elizabeth I. This is something I wanted to do for a very long time now and I'm so happy!^^This movie is one of the most emotional movies I have seen and the plot is really close to the InoSasuSaku relationship in Naruto.I made Sakura the "bad one" as you say because in Naruto it was her that ended her friendship with Ino. Just like Ann did with Mary. And Sakura in my opinion is overused as the good character. Lets give Ino some love now.Ann(Sakura) marries the King(Sasuke)afterall he loves her the most. Also in the end the King(Sasuke) doesn't choose any of the girls so there is no real couple. I gues this way both SasuIno and SasuSaku fans will be happy. I'm also really proud of this because it came out really good. Especially the lipsinc. Sasuke:The KingIno:Mery BolyenSakura:Ann BolyenI hope you enjoy it! This is a gift for my 600 subscribers. THANK YOU!!! I love you all!Disclimer:I OWN NOTHING YOU HEAR YOUTUBE!!!NOTHING!!! [ More Detail ]

From 1911 to the present day, many actresses have tackled the role of Anne Boleyn in numerous different ways. I have made a short film in two parts, using some of the many actresses who have played the role of England's most influential &important Queen Consort. The Actresses are as follows:Merle Oberon -- Private Life of Henry VIII (1933)Elaine Stuart -- Young Bess (1953)Vanessa Redgrave -- A Man for all Seasons (1966)Genevieve Bujold -- Anne of the Thousand Days (1969)Dorothy Tutin -- The Six Wives of Henry VIII (BBCTV) (1971)Charlotte Rampling -- Henry VIII &his Six Wives (1972)Barbara Kellerman -- Henry VIII (1979)Oona Kirsch -- God's Outlaw (1986)Julia Marsden -- The Six Wives of Henry VIII (2001)Jodhi May -- The Other Boleyn Girl (BBCTV) (2003)Helena Bonham Carter -- Henry VIII (ITV) (2003)Natalie Portman -- The Other Boleyn Girl (2008)Natalie Dormer -- The Tudors (TV) (2007/ 2008)I do not agree or like a number of the performances, but all have been instrumental in bringing to life one of the most misunderstood women in history. Anne Boleyn was one of the wives of King Henry VIII. He had her beheaded, and this classic music hall song is about how she wanders the Tower of London seeking revenge. It was written in 1934 and originally performed by Stanley Holloway. Since then it has been recorded by Rudy Vallee, The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem, The Kingston Trio and the Chad Mitchell Trio. [ More Detail ]
Jodhi May as Anne Boleyn in 'The Other Boleyn Girl (2003).I'm afraid to say that this is one of the worst dramas set in this period that I have seen. It is also an adaptation of one of the worst pieces of historical fiction that I have ever read. However I have included this clip because a) it is part of a general group of videos I am posting on Anne Boleyn in dramas and b) Jodhi May is a superb actress and it is not her fault that she got stuck in such a crap drama.Although I dislike this drama immensely there are two things I did enjoy about it. Firstly I really liked Jared Harris's portrayal of Henry VIII. He looks fantastic as a middle aged Henry who has not yet become the obese king found in the Holbein portraits or the renowned athletic in his youth. It is such a shame that his talents are wasted in this and I would love to see him play the role again. The other thing I like about this drama (aside from Jodhi May naturally : ), is the depiction of the famous shirt row Henry and Anne had. Anne discovered that Henry was still having his shirts made by Katherine although he did not recognise her as his lawful wife. Understandably Anne was upset about this as mending shirts was a traditional wifely task and whilst Henry was allowing Katherine to do this he was also promising Anne marriage. Furthermore a simple instruction from the king would have ended his shirts being made for him by Katherine. The quarrel ended when Henry put an end to this and employed someone else to mend them instead. [ More Detail ]
Clips of Helena Bonham Carter as Anne Boleyn from the series 'Henry VIII'I'm not a fan of this drama and felt they dealt with the Anne Boleyn storyline rather poorly and in a rushed manner. Although I like Helena Bonham Carter and think she is a fantastic actress, I felt that she did not suit this role. However I've posted clips so everyone can judge for themselves. [ More Detail ]

Clips from the drama 'Henry VIII and His Six Wives' of Charlotte Rampling's performance as Anne.I'm not a fan of Rampling's portrayal primarily because the script itself was rather weak and includes rather silly elements (like the idea that Anne Boleyn had deformities). However I posted it so you can decide for yourself whether she is any good. About the card scene -- the story of Anne Boleyn playing cards with Katherine of Aragon and that Katherine rebuked her for never wanting 'all or nothing' is probably fictional. It comes from an account by George Wyatt who was writing many years after Anne's death. His grandfather the poet Thomas Wyatt had known Anne, but George was born after his grandfather's death. Furthermore Katherine by this time was praised for the fact that she bore well Anne's presence. It does seem therefore slightly out of place that she would have said such a catty comment (and in front of the king no less!). [ More Detail ]
