Chants d'Auvergne (Songs from the Auvergne) is a collection of folk songs from the Auvergne region of France arranged for soprano voice and orchestra by Joseph Canteloube between 1923-1930. The songs are in the local language, Occitan.Netania Davrath (1931-1987) was born in the Ukraine, then emigrated to Israel. My LPs of these songs were from 1963. Although she wasn't the first to record these commercially (Madeleine Grey was), I've always enjoyed her interpretation.Lyrics:Trois Bourées 1.L'aïo dè rotsoL'aïo dè rotso tè foro mourir, filhoto.l'aïo dè rotso tè foro mourir!Nè té cal pas bèïr' aïo, quèl aïo,.mès cal prèndr' un couot d'oquèl aïo dè bi!S'uno filhoto sè bouol morida, pitchouno.s'uno filhoto sè bouol morida,li cal pas douna d'oquél' aïo dè rotso,aïmaro miliour oquèl aïo dè bi!1.
