Hazrat Syed Ali Tirmizi Chishti Ghaus Zaman Pir Khurasan Pir Baba (Blessing Upon him). Due to his popularity, the valley in which his Grave is located is called Pir Baba. This is the valley where he passed the last years of his lifePir baba situated in Buner, can easily be approached from Mardan via Shahbaz Garhi and Rustam. It is about 50 kilometers, away from Mardan. The British fought a very tough battle here against Yusufzai Afghan lashkars in 1863. This is also route to Mingora swat. This route of Swat is more scenic than the Malakand. The main road climbs up across 894 meters to Buner Pass and comes down to China (Pronounced Cheena). Four Kilometer further is Daggar, from where a newly maintained road leads to Pir baba's town .Pacha Kalay - where the Shrine/Mazar of Hazrat Pir Baba (RA)is located. The village of Pir baba which can be approached from Daggar, is famous for the Mazar of Hazrat Syed Ali Tirmizi Chishti Ghaus Zaman Pir Khurasan.He lived during the reigns of Babar, Humayun and Akbar the Great and spread the teachings of Islam in the area.Pir Baba, a small village of District Buner.The village was named after a great saint, Syed Ali Khurasani, commonly known as Pir Baba. Thousands of pilgrims visit his shrine every year. In the beginning, it was a small community of people, including a number of Sikh families who have settled down over here. Gradually the word about the miraculous healing powers of Pir Baba, especially curing the leprosy cases. With time, people started pouring in from all over the country and eventually this small village took the form of a small town, which now includes a commercial area as well.Pilgrims come to visit the shrine of Hazrat Pir Baba throughout the year. Pir baba itself was a great man of his time.
