Eve Online is a massively multiplayer space sim, where 15,000 to 40,000 players are logged in at any one time. The game is massive in scope, but battles between the largest player coalitions are plagued by unplayable lag.In these epic fights (which can involve more than 1000 players on a battlefield) victory often comes to the side that can log in more quickly during lag, or is lucky enough to not become desynched; not the team using better strategy, or the one with more firepower. ZHANG:The Communist Party in China continues to lie about the safety of melamine, a toxic substance responsible for contaminated milk, according to an article by the Epoch Times newspaper.A Chinese state-run media website, people.com.cn, says Chinese authorities—along with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration—conducted, quote, "scientific evaluations" on the safety margin of melamine. It suggested that melamine was less dangerous than public reports had claimed.However, a Food and Drug Administration spokesperson told The Epoch Times it had never published any information on the safety margin of melamine. The FDA continues to warn consumers not to purchase any infant formula milk powder from China.The online report by China's state-run media also claims, quote, "To date there are no diagnosed cases of stones in the urinary system due to drinking these milk products."This statement directly contradicts the thousands of documented cases of melamine-related illnesses in China. According to Mr. Zheng, he was attacked by communist supporter Rong Shen and several other men.Rong Shen then drew on his clothes and claimed the marks were blood caused by the attack of the Falun Gong practitioner. Testimonies: CCP Intensifies Crackdown on Falun Gong
CHAN:Yesterday Falun Gong practitioners staged a peaceful protest in front the Chinese consulate in New York City. They bring the stories of their relatives in China who are being persecuted by the Chinese Communist regime. The practitioners say that as the Olympics draw nearer the CCP is intensifying a nationwide crackdown. Here are some of their stories.STORY:Shuangying Zhang's parents have already served three years in a labor camp for their beliefs. They were arrested again two weeks ago.[Shuangying Zhang, Falun Gong Practitioner]:"When the police barged into my parents' house my mother asked them, 'Why do you confiscate my property? What reason do you have?' and they said, 'Because you practice Falun Gong. There are no reasons, this is reason enough.' So I think today's police are very evil. We cultivate Falun Gong's truth, compassion and forbearance. How can that be a threat to society?!"Shuangying says her mother was so shocked by the arrest she had a stroke and became paralyzed.[Shuangying Zhang, Falun Gong Practitioner]:"After the Chinese Communist Party started to persecute Falun Gong I was worried and sad every day. My parents suffered so much as a result of the persecution. Since July 20, 1999, they haven't had a day of freedom."Wanqing Huang's brother disappeared five years ago. Nobody knows his whereabouts.[Wanqing Huang, Falun Gong Practitioner]:"Today we remember the practitioners who have been persecuted to death. My heart feels heavy, because after so many years I still don't know if my brother is alive or not. EU MP Condemns CCP for Warsaw Incident
ANCHOR:A recent attack on a Polish Falun Gong practitioner has sparked a Polish member of the European Union (EU) to the write to the Chinese ambassador in the EU. She strongly condemns the CCP and this latest violation of human rights in democratic Poland. Here's the full story.STORY:While delivering the Chinese-language edition of The Epoch Times newspaper to local businesses earlier this month, Ms. Zhang Qian, a Polish resident for the last 14 years, was physically assaulted. The attacker, identified by witnesses as Chinese National, Ms. Lei Wu, grabbed the newspapers from Ms. Zhang and ripped them up. In an attempt to steal more papers she then punched Ms Zhang.Lei is also accused of using death threats as a scare tactic.Hanna Foltyn-Kubicka, a member of the Human Rights Commission of the European Parliament was shocked upon hearing a report on the incident. She had met with Mr. Jekielek, the Polish representative of the International Human Rights Association.She has since sent a letter to Songzhe, the Chinese ambassador for the European Union.In her letter, dated June 11th, Foltyn-Kubicka says,"This incident is a copy-cat version of the attacks of Chinese consulate in New York against innocent Falun Gong practitioners and the distributors of Epoch Times newspaper. I strongly condemn the Chinese Communist Party conducting any attacks on Falun Gong practitioners, especially those in democratic countries such as United States and Poland. The Chinese government cannot export their human rights violations against Falun Gong overseas; it is totally intolerable."She also calls on the EU to investigate the matter and urges the Chinese regime to cease such violent attacks. Falun Gong adherents have been hit with bottles, eggs, and stones and one man in New York went to the hospital for wounds to the head. In New York alone two Chinese were arrested for violence against Falun Gong practitioners. The incidents have been heavily reported by Chinese sate media, who, curiously, have a single unified message: That the mob is spontaneous and is angered by Falun Gong for not donating money to the earthquake effort. The incidents appear to be orchestrated as a publicity stunt by the CCP at a time when nationalism is high.
