Ashraf Hakim, Egyptian Cellist is a truly inspired virtuoso. He launched his solo career in the United States in 2008 after playing with Hejira, a Seattle-based group specializing in middle-eastern music. He is the only cellist virtuoso to be featured on the Pyramids and Sphynx of Egypt. Ashraf loves the freedom of sharing his inspired music that crosses into many genre's including, classical, Arabic improvisation, jazz, and pop. He looks forward to becoming a US citizen in 2009.
