Again, this is a piece for cello and piano off of Finale MusicMaker. It is in 6/8 and D Minor, yet the tonality switches quite a bit. It has two sections in minor (D and E Minor) and two sections in major (E-flat and F Major). I am only a young cellist and have not taken any formal theory or composition classes. So please dont't expect the Dvorak Concerto hahaha. Please leave comments and suggestions for improvement. [ More Detail ]
This is another composition off of Finale MusicMaker. The piece is called "Paraphrase Dance on Themes by Paul Bazelaire." I took different melodies from his Suite Francais for cello and piano and stringed them together in a one movement Dance for cello and piano. The tonality is D Major, though the key signature suggests G Major. It switches between the two often, but it ultimately ends in D. I hope you enjoy it. Paul Bazelaire was a prominent French cellist and originally compiled themes, melodies, and folk songs from across France for his Suite Francais. Written on composition software and this is simply the playback. So no real performers.......yet......I think it is contemplative and solemn. I think of taking a walk at night to clear my head when I listen to it. Please leave comments and suggestions for improvement. [ More Detail ]
