This prelud was written in Cm for lute by JS Bach. After segovia, most of classical guitarists play it in Dm. My D string was quite bad when I recorded it but I could not change it since I was on vacation in a little village. Bach's "Dona Nobis Pacem" (arranged by Althouse)from the Mass in B Minor as the anthem for the June 1, 2008 service.Dona nobis pacem (Latin: Give us peace) is a phrase in the Agnus Dei section of the Roman Catholic mass. It was set as a separate, final movement in Bach's Mass in B Minor. The phrase, in isolation, has been appopriated for other works:Dona nobis pacem, a cantata by Ralph Vaughan Williams (1937). One section of Adiemus V: Vocalise, by Karl Jenkins (2003). One track of the album No Boundaries, by Ladysmith Black Mambazo (2006). At the end of "Pray Your Gods" by Toad the Wet Sprocket (1992). Dona Nobis Pacem is a musical round. In an arrangement of "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day (Dona Nobis Pacem)" recorded by Wayne Watson on One Christmas Eve (1994). At the end of the song "She was naked" by Supersister. The third movement of Symphonie Liturgique by Arthur Honegger. Well here it is, after a few days work, the first recording of myself for the world to see, but more importantly for my relatives who live in Toronto, as I do owe them for abstaining to play in person when they last visisted.Unfortunately, though, I lost my fine german voice actor halfway through production (apparently there was a slight misunderstanding concerning a tentative agreement to work for free) so I had to change narrators.As well, despite frequent claims to the contrary during the introduction, I should add that I don't really consider myself "the great", I'm just an amateur who has a great appreciation for classical music.Lastly, if somehow you happen to enjoy this and desire to hear more, I should have another recording done in the near future, so keep your eyes open for that. The organ starts up J.S. Bach's Prelude in C Minor BWV 546, which was requested by Diana's mother. Diana's family line up to bid to coffin farewell as the soldiers load it into the hearse; passing it to the care of Leverton &Sons, the North London Funeral Directors who have the Royal Charter. The commentary is then passed back to David Dimbleby.The hearse then departs and the crowd bursts into rapturous applause as it goes up Broad Sanctuary towards Parliament Square. It has become customary in Britain to applaud at funerals of public figures ever since this moment. The age of the of footage is confirmed by the absence of anti-war protestor Brian Haw who took up an indefinite, continuous vigil on the square opposite the gates to the Houses of Parliament in 2001 which is still ongoing in 2008. His current position is marked by the 'Keep Clear' signs painted on the road. You can also see the cranes that were building Portcullis House across the street from Big Ben. The London Eye is conspicuous by its absence from the sky.
