Few hiccups here and there but hey I'm workin on that. In my defense the fingering is obscure as fuck D:.Basically I decided to restring my guitar completely, and made a video while the strings are nice and new sounding, although to be honest, it sounded better when they weren't new :/. Maybe that's just me, i'll let YOU, the viewer, be the judge.Instead of doing the solo I decided to just do a funky strum version of the verse cause i don't have the effects that make the solo sound GOOD.Lastly, I got my first guitar last christmas so i've only been playing for nearly 11 months, so don't expect nothing JAW-DROPPING.Oh yeah and thanks to JokertheFirst for providing me with a great tab of this song, and check out his cover too! JULIAN OPIE - DUBLIN - Walking Along O'Connell Street Thumbs list

Julian Opie was born in London and raised in Oxford. After the Dragon School, Oxford, he spent some time at Magdalen College School,Oxford. He is a graduate of Goldsmiths College and achieved some early gallery success, which was an incentive for slightly younger artists in the same college, such as Damien Hirst to do likewise. His work, derived in part from Patrick Caulfield and Michael Craig-Martin, involves the reduction of photographs (or short films) into figurative reproductions (created using computer software). In his portraiture, the human face is characterised by black outlines with flat areas of colour, and minimalised detail, to the extent that an eye can become just the black circle of the pupil, and sometimes a head is represented by a circle with a space where the neck would be. Opie uses computers in art for other works. His Imagine you are... series, demonstrated how activities such as driving, walking and climbing could be represented by simple reductions. In addition, Opie uses sculpture and light installations to present items of everyday life.I am simply using that which is available to describe that which is experienced. Julian Opie's style was brought into the public eye when he was asked to design the cover for the British band, Blur's best of album. On the cover, the band members (clockwise from top left) Graham Coxon, Alex James, Dave Rowntree and Damon Albarn are transformed into Opie's style. Also, in 2005 and during Irish rock band, U2, Vertigo world tour, he showed another LED screen on part of stage set displaying an aimless walking man figure.Julian Opie also implements computer technology by cutting out the outlines and coloured shapes, sometimes on vinyl, as in large display banners at Tate Britain. Opie is a former trustee of the Tate Gallery and exhibits with Lisson Gallery and Alan Cristea Gallery in London. His studio and workshop is based in Shoreditch, London. He was the subject of a film by Illuminations in their the EYE series, in which they profile contemporary visual artists in Britain. He was also the subject of a book by Mary Horlock published by Tate Publishing as part of their Modern Artist series.Opie created a monument to singer Bryan Adams while he was in Indianapolis because he has a "FM-rock, big-open-sound, low-slung-guitar feel that was appropriate enough." He felt that this type of pose holds a similar sexuality that his works with women (such as his work with Kate Moss) have, though when he paints women they are often more blantantly sexually charged. [2]In 2008, the four-sided LED Sculpture Ann Dancing was installed in Indianapolis, Indiana as the first artwork on the Indianapolis Cultural Trail.http://www.julianopie.com/ [ More Detail ]

Dave Edmunds - Generation rumble ( U.K. ) Thumbs list

As a young teenager Edmunds played with a band called the 99ers and in the 'Heartbeats' with his older brother Geoff [2]. The first group that he fronted was the Cardiff based 1950s style rockabilly trio 'The Raiders', along with Bob 'Congo' Jones on drums and John Williams on bass, that worked almost exclusively in the South Wales area. In the late 1960s, the band shifted to a more blues-rock sound and renamed as the short lived 'The Human Beans'[3], playing mostly in London and on the British University circuit. In 1967 the band recorded a cover of "Morning Dew" on the Columbia [4] label that failed to have any chart impact. Soon after the remnants of Human Beans formed a new band called Love Sculpture that again reunited Edmunds, Jones and Williams as a trio, who scored a quasi-novelty hit by reworking Khachaturian's classical piece "Sabre Dance" as a speed-crazed rock number, inspired by Keith Emerson's classical rearrangements.[5] "Sabre Dance" became a hit after garnering the enthusiastic attention of British DJ John Peel.[5][edit] A solo careerAfter Love Sculpture split, Edmunds had a UK #1 single in 1970 with "I Hear You Knocking"[6], a Smiley Lewis cover, which he came across while producing Shakin' Stevens and the Sunsets' first album entitled 'A legend'. The recording was the first release on Edmunds' manager's MAM Records label. This single also reached #4 in the U.S., making it Edmunds' biggest hit by far on either side of the Pond. Edmunds had intended to record Wilbert Harrison's "Let's Work Together," but when he was beaten to that song by Canned Heat, he adapted the arrangement he intended to use for it to "I Hear You Knocking", producing a highly original remake. Unfortunately, the success of the single caused EMI's Regal Zonophone Records to use an option that it had to claim Edmunds' album, 1972's Rockpile, and the momentum from the single's success on a different label went away.Edmunds' only acting role followed, as a band member in the David Essex movie Stardust.[7] After learning the trade of producer, culminating in a couple of singles in the style of Phil Spector, "Baby I Love You" and "Born To Be With You", he became linked with the pub rock movement of the early 1970s, producing Brinsley Schwarz, Ducks Deluxe, and also The Flamin' Groovies, using a stripped down, grittier sound. Edmunds had bought a house in Rockfield Monmouth a few miles away from Charles and Kingsley Ward's Rockfield Studios where he became an almost permanent fixture for the next twenty years. His working regime involved arriving at the studio in the early evening and working through till well after dawn, usually locked in the building alone. Applying the layered Spector sound to his own productions it was not unusual for Edmunds to multilayer up to forty separately recorded guitar tracks into the mix.[edit] Rockpile and other collaborationsHis own solo LP from 1975, Subtle as a Flying Mallet, was similar in style. The Brinsley Schwarz connection brought about a collaboration with Nick Lowe starting with this album, and in 1976 they formed the group Rockpile, with Billy Bremner and Terry Williams. Because Edmunds and Lowe signed to different record labels that year, they could not record as Rockpile until 1980, but many of their solo LPs (such as Nick Lowe's Labour of Lust and Edmunds' own Repeat When Necessary) were in fact group recordings. Dave Edmunds had more UK hits during this time, including Elvis Costello's "Girls Talk", Nick Lowe's "I Knew The Bride", Hank DeVito's "Queen of Hearts" (written for Edmunds but later a smash U.S. hit for Juice Newton), Graham Parker's "Crawling from the Wreckage", and Melvin Endsley's "Singing the Blues" (originally a hit for Guy [ More Detail ]

Edmunds spent the 1980s collaborating with and producing an assortment of artists, from Paul McCartney to King Kurt, and from Stray Cats to Status Quo. He recorded the soundtrack for Porky's Revenge, supplying the main theme, "High School Nights," and was the musical director for a television special starring Carl Perkins, with assorted guests including George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Rosanne Cash.On his 1983 release, Information, Edmunds collaborated on two songs with Jeff Lynne, the leader of Electric Light Orchestra. One of these songs, a Jeff Lynne composition entitled "Slipping Away," became Edmunds's only other U.S. Top 40 hit, albeit just barely, spending a single week at #39. It was not a hit in the UK. In 1984, Jeff Lynne produced six tracks on Edmunds's following album, Riff Raff. [ More Detail ]

Catapilla - Tumbleweed (♫) Thumbs list

Catapilla were an english progressive rock band and were active from the late 60s till the first half of the 70s. Their lead members were vocalist Anna Meek and saxophonist Robert Calvert. They created very innovative music in the early 70s, but disbanded shortly after the release of its second album. Nevertheless, the group had a great influence on music of the period.Catapilla were formed in the late 60s in west London, with early members Malcolm Frith on drums, Dave Taylor on bass, Graham Wilson playing guitar and a wind section (Hugh Eaglestone, Robert Calvert and Thierry Rheinhart). Joe Meek (singer) was the first lead vocalist.Black Sabbath manager Patrick Meehan produced the band's first album, recorded with Anna Meek. The cover of Catapilla is reminiscent of the Beatles' apple, but being eaten by a caterpillar. This suggests the idea of destroying the utopian perfection of british psychedelia and opposition to the mainstream psychedelic and progressive rock of that time.LIKE WHAT U HEARD?SUBSCRIBE IF YOU WILL FOR MORE EXCELLENT MUSIC [ More Detail ]

CATTLE DECAPITATION on CAPITAL CHAOS 2008 Thumbs list

CATTLE DECAPITATION on CAPITAL CHAOS 2008 @ The Boardwalk~Orangevale, CA 6/21/2008 also on the bill were EMBRACE THE END, CARNIFEX, CONDUCTING FROM THE GRAVE, ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS &BROADCAST THE NIGHTMARE...Cattle Decapitation, currently signed to Metal Blade Records, is a San Diego, California-based deathgrind band. Originally founded in 1996, Cattle Decapitation's songs protest the mistreatment and human consumption of animals as well as the abuse of the environment. All members of the group are vegetarians, though their lyrics are focused on subjects such as misanthropy and the genocide of the human race. Through the use of macabre lyrical content (horror, real life lyrics about what they stand for) the members of the band represent their views on animal rights through gore-grind styled lyrics. http://www.cattledecapitation.com/Over the span of a decade, Cattle Decapitation has forged its not-so-humble beginnings in gore-grind into one of extreme metal's most relentless forces, encompassing a sound as schizophrenic as their record collections but with a determined lyrical stance resolutely damning the ills of humanity. http://www.myspace.com/cattledecapitationAfter a couple early line-up shifts, "Human Jerky," Cattle Decapitation's first full-length, was released in 1999 as LP-only by Nevada label Satan's Pimp. The album featured the bass-less trio of Travis Ryan on vocals, Gabe Serbian on guitar and Dave Astor on drums. Serbian and Astor split duties with the ubiquitous arty-grind act The Locust. "Human Jerky" as well as 2000's "Homovore" (released by San Diego's Three One G label) showcased Ryan's obsessively gore-oriented musings laced within his pro-vegetarian/anti-human posture. In keeping with the spirit of the genre as well as the lyrical urgency, the 90's trio was additionally known for its ultra-short songs and unforgettable live performances (Ryan was known to occasionally perform in a mask sewnof beef jerky). The band procured Venezuelan installation artist Nelson Garrido's arranged pieces of deceased livestock for two unmistakable album covers. http://www.darklyrics.com/c/cattledecapitation.htmlHonours for this video 6/30/2008#17 - Premium Most Viewed (Today) - Music - Australia#21 - Premium Most Viewed (Today) - Music - Canada#30 - Premium Most Viewed (Today) - Music#29 - Premium Most Viewed (Today) - Music - Global#8 - Premium Most Viewed (Today) - Music - Mexico#18 - Premium Most Viewed (Today) - Music - Japan#17 - Premium Most Viewed (Today) - Music - Poland#12 - Premium Most Viewed (Today) - Music - Brazil [ More Detail ]

angie (or anji) (cover ver2) Thumbs list

this one seems better than former oneprobably because of the wall which helps me to keep good posture(the way i do is originally a bit weird since i first took up the guitar ==;).this version is partly based on a live performance by S&G in New York 1966.guess you guys have already found the differences.to tell you the truth i tried to record many other songs today but my voice sucks today.it didn't allow me to make files that are good enough to be uploaded.i made this instead eventually.
