CHARLIE GIBSON: And with apologies for our technical difficulties, we're going to turn back to the difficult economy, and the way the presidential candidates are dealing with it, particularly John McCain. Here's David Wright. DAVID WRIGHT: John McCain was against the government bailout of AIG, before he was reluctantly for it. Here he was yesterday on "Today." JOHN MCCAIN: We cannot bail AIG or anybody else. We have to work through it. WRIGHT: Asked about the same topic today on "Good Morning America" - MCCAIN: I don't think anybody I know wanted to do that. But there are literally millions of people whose retirement, whose investments, whose insurance were at risk here. And they were going to have their lives destroyed. WRIGHT: Senator McCain appears to have changed his tune on regulation in a fundamental way. Today on the stump, he's a champion of reigning in Wall Street with tough regulations. MCCAIN: We're going to put an end to the reckless conduct, corruption and greed that have caused a crisis on Wall Street. WRIGHT: But for more than 25 years in the Senate, McCain has fashioned himself as a champion of smaller government, less regulation. MCCAIN: I am less government, less regulation, lower taxes, et cetera. [ More Detail ]

John Edwards admits having and affair on ABC Nightline - Because he got caught! It's a sad day in America when the National Enquirer is the voice of truth and our top presidential candidates are immoral liars!!-------Did anybody notice that when John McCain was falsely accused of an affair without any named and reputable sources it was put immediately on the front page of the New York Times. However, it took the National Enquirer a year of nonstop true journalism to give the American people the truth about John Edwards. The rest of the so-called "reputable mainstream" news organizations ignored and covered up the truth about John Edwards. Proof once again that the mainstream news organizations are run by biased liberals!-------I feel sorry for John Edward's wife since my mother went through the physical and mental hell of breast cancer treatment. Also, I feel sorry for John Edward's children . I will pray for them and hope many people do.-------Text of John Edwards' statement on his affair: In 2006, I made a serious error in judgment and conducted myself in a way that was disloyal to my family and to my core beliefs. I recognized my mistake and I told my wife that I had a liaison with another woman, and I asked for her forgiveness. Although I was honest in every painful detail with my family, I did not tell the public. When a supermarket tabloid told a version of the story, I used the fact that the story contained many falsities to deny it. But being 99 percent honest is no longer enough.I was and am ashamed of my conduct and choices, and I had hoped that it would never become public. With my family, I took responsibility for my actions in 2006 and today I take full responsibility publicly. But that misconduct took place for a short period in 2006. It ended then. I am and have been willing to take any test necessary to establish the fact that I am not the father of any baby, and I am truly hopeful that a test will be done so this fact can be definitively established. I only know that the apparent father has said publicly that he is the father of the baby. I also have not been engaged in any activity of any description that requested, agreed to or supported payments of any kind to the woman or to the apparent father of the baby.It is inadequate to say to the people who believed in me that I am sorry, as it is inadequate to say to the people who love me that I am sorry. In the course of several campaigns, I started to believe that I was special and became increasingly egocentric and narcissistic. If you want to beat me up — feel free. You cannot beat me up more than I have already beaten up myself. I have been stripped bare and will now work with everything I have to help my family and others who need my help.I have given a complete interview on this matter and having done so, will have nothing more to say.-------P.S. Mitt Romney would never do such a thing to his wife and family. I think Mitt Romney would have made one of the most honest and brilliant presidents! [ More Detail ]

PENSACOLA - About two hundred people from Second Lieutenant John Alley's church and squadron along with Pensacola police continued their search on Sunday. He was in school Friday afternoon at Whiting Field and never returned.Around five in the morning Saturday, police located Alley's totaled car on the corner of Scenic Highway and Summit Boulevard, but he was nowhere to be found.Alley's family says he's been stressed with studying and might have driven around Friday afternoon to clear his mind. But Alley's wife, who is four months pregnant, says they're always in contact with each other and it's extremely bizarre that he never called. They fear he may be wandering around injured from the accident. His friends and family searched the woods and went door to door handing out flyers hoping to find answers.Alley's father and sister flew in from Denver as soon as they heard the news.If you have any information you're asked to call the Pensacola police department. Post your own question to McCain: http://TheRealMcCain.com/interviewLast week's Democratic debate in Philadelphia was an abysmal display of journalism. By sticking to trivial topics for half of the debate, ABC sought to provoke controversy without asking the candidates serious questions. The Huffington Post's Jason Linkins wrote that the debate "ventured into territory so utterly asinine that I could scarcely believe what I was witnessing."Ironically, the mainstream media have been giving John McCain a free ride while trying to pin Clinton and Obama with manufactured "gotcha" questions. In fact, they don't seem to be challenging McCain at all. So there's no reason to think ABC's brand of pseudo-journalism won't continue tomorrow morning, when George Stephanopoulos will interview McCain on his show. Here's a satirical look at what that interview might be like. [ More Detail ]
