Robert Lloyd and the New Four Seasons -- Something Nice
Robert Lloyd, previously of The Nightingales and The Perfects, released a couple of singles and a really rather good album called 'Me and My Mouth' as 'Robert Lloyd and the New Four Seasons'. John Peel was a fan and the band recorded a few excellent Peel sessions, one of which resulted in the brilliant 'Part of the Anchor' included on the aforementioned album. 'Something Nice' has a persistent snare beat and, even at nine minutes long, still sounds great today.
